Sade and John Legend 2011 Tour Dates

1800Flowers.com

British Nigerian singer/songwriter, composer, and record producer Sade Adu, better known as Sade, is the most successful solo female artist in British history, having sold over 50 million albums worldwide. The band Sade features a unique mix of R&B, soul, jazz, funk and soft rock. Sade’s debut album, Diamond Life, went Top Ten in the United Kingdom in late 1984 and sold platinum. She has now teamed up with smooth soul vocalist John Legend for the North American portion of her summer tour!

John Legend is the recipient of nine Grammy Awards as well as the special Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2007. John Legend has famously collaborated with Kanye West, Slum Village, The Roots, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and the Black Eyed Peas, just to name a few. Legend also played piano on Lauryn Hill’s hit song “Everything Is Everything.” John Legend is slated to be the opening act for Sade, but let us cross our fingers that there will be a jazzy duet!

Sade has some fantastic new music you have to check out. Some of Sade’s recent hits include “Still In Love With You,” “I Would Have Never Guessed,” “Love Is Found,” and my personal favorite, “The Moon and the Sky (Remix feat. Jay-Z).” Sade’s most popular song is of course “Smooth Operator,” but I have to say I like “By Your Side” a lot too. John Legend and Sade will begin their tour on June 16th, at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore. They will perform at 50 venues on their North American tour.

If you miss this highly-anticipated, epic tour, you know what I will say to you? I told you so. I tried to tell you, but you wouldn’t listen. Now put some awesome VIP Tickets in your Easter Basket before they sell out, peeps! Happy Easter!
